A Bug SRPG idea.


Bug Fights. not really my thing.  The battles seem a lil inhumane to me - especially when the one i'm rooting for loses.

Pokemon was based on a guy's former love of collecting bugs.  So I started thinking about a game that would be more about bugs.  Medabots is close, but I didnt want to copy that.  At first The idea was to base a game on robotic bugs which is kinna different, but as i kept thinking about the battles playing out, I kept imagining real bugs doing fantastical things.  So an SRPG using bugs with powers.  Disgaea with bugs?  FFTA with bugs?  I haven't started thinking about turn order or various other mechanics;  I just started thinking about the basic types of bugs that could be incorporated and the plot.  This is a game I don't think will ever be made, so I don't mind posting about it.

Need a Light?

Blurry imo, but I want to create a pyro character for one of my other game ideas.  First is the now stereotypical pyro, the second, i wanted one a little more bulky and a little different.  These are just the first ideas.  Clearly more work needs to done.

Another idea another old game.

I was thinking about how I wanted to hang out with my brother some more and get to know him a little better.  Sure we lived in the same home for 18ish years, but during our middle school and high school years he was out doing band things and i was out with my friends.  So we didn't really get a lot of time together for those years.  At least that's how I see it now, maybe it wasn't like that at all.  Either way, a handful of thoughts later, I thought it'd be nice to play catch and just talk.  Maybe this isn't how the idea came about at all.  But I want this game to exist:

bits of progress on bits of paper

So today I worked on some explosion patterns for the explosion chain reaction puzzle game... I haven't worked on the forcefield much at all, and i kept thinking about how big the chain reaction explosions could be.  The potential for excess is quite high.  I think if the chain reactions get out of control, it'd just be a show rather than a game.  That isn't something I want.  I really dislike how I have to do a decent amount of work just to get a proof of concept and see if it's feasible.  O well.  Such is the life of one you wants to create in this medium.

Also I've started using the backs of folded receipts as a notepad.  Inexpensive, and I can throw them away or w/e when i'm done.  probably gonna staple them together and archive them

REFLECTOR BELT GAME?



Ugh.  Started playing a bit of Spiral Knights.  I love the look and the feel of the game.  I also find the way micro-transactions are implemented to be ingenious.  I'd want Bomberda to look like Spiral Knights.

I bought a copy of Graphics Gale...I am frustrated.  Somehow the simple concept of layers is besting me.

I also bought Starcraft II.  But I haven't opened it or anything yet.

I have a new tool that could very well help me design pixelated things....Now I just need to figure out how to use it!

WIGT progress and a single FAITAR idea


I know he's not a barber, but let's make him one sans glasses + mustache - doofy smile.

Longer uglier skirt and some glasses and darker red hair like Dexter's.  That is what I imagine.  A different smile also.  This could be the teacher. 


Come the end of the day I was having trouble recalling any progress I might've made toward games.  Fortunately, I wrote down most of the day's ideas in a notepad that i rediscovered under some windows on my desktop.

Card Cap?


This is for the card game I made up!  Clearly based on a standard deck of playing cards.  Names will need to be changed of course.  Dunno about the name of the game either

FAITA Concepts and questions Part 1




This idea was strongly influenced by Xenogears, Hybrid Heaven, and Valkyrie Profile among other games.
The idea is that this will be a turn based RPG that will be more about the fighting styles and heavy on the use of combos.


First post and purpose

So this is where I will be posting ideas for games that I want to be made.  I wouldn't mind terribly if someone else made the game; but I would kind of like to make them myself or with a team since it's my idea, y'know?  Generally one has a certain expectation of quality for their creations. 

Since I currently have no technical skill, I will post my notes and ideas here so I can share the ideas more easily in the future.
