WIGT progress and a single FAITAR idea


I know he's not a barber, but let's make him one sans glasses + mustache - doofy smile.

Longer uglier skirt and some glasses and darker red hair like Dexter's.  That is what I imagine.  A different smile also.  This could be the teacher. 


Come the end of the day I was having trouble recalling any progress I might've made toward games.  Fortunately, I wrote down most of the day's ideas in a notepad that i rediscovered under some windows on my desktop.

Here they are:




In WIGT! I thought of the Barber as a new class, and the Teacher!  I coordinated with a friend of mine for some of the barber's ideas... neither class is completely finished yet.

Barber:  I havent decided on the Barber's appearance yet- nor the actual title.  It might be something more technical and I want it to potentially be inclusive of the "hair stylist" profession so that women's hair care products could potentially be used in skills.  I think I would like him to be styled like a barber of the...1900's?  with a manly mustache, slicked hair, mostly white including an apron.  That's the idea for now, straying from the archetype isn't necessarily a bad thing. 

Aura: unk for now
Weapon: Probably a sword

Quartet- (Wall, decoy or taunt) A barber shop Quartet will gather and act as a wall.  I haven't decided whether the wall will taunt or merely act as a decoy.

Clean Cut -(Cone AoE) A shaving razor is swung out to do damage in a Cone

swirling pole things (Barber Pole?)- (AoE Buff) perhaps some bonus money or points or exp when both the player and the enemy killed are in range of the pole.  (applies to allies also)  Currently this has very limited use.  I think I will have to think of conditions for [if only the enemy is in range of the pole] and [if only the player is in range of the pole]


Bag of Hair clippings- leave a trail behind that can slow? maybe leave a cloud of hair clippings that will slow

Electric clippers- (Line DMG AoE)  This might be the barber's escape.  Initially it was just damage, but perhaps it will be changed so the barber rides the clippers to help him escape

Hair Gel: Hair gel can turn into shaving cream at a higher level.  Might slow enemies and allow the barber to do more damage with barber skills...
--shaving cream: AoE? that can slow?  increase spell damage?

blow drier: (Cone AoE, Knockback) Hair drier turns from a gun shape to a megabuster shape.  It will have knockback and damage.  Maybe it will be a toggle-able attack that will gradually drain Energy/MP

 sit down hair dryer things:  (escape) The idea i have with these is that one or some can be placed and then the top part will cover the player(s) heads and they will teleport in that chair do their designated location.  Perhaps upon arrival at their designated destination, there can be a gust of hot air that will do damage.
--With this skill, it seems logical for the individual player to choose where they will teleport, and it'd probably be easy to do that.  Makes the most sense to me right now.  Perhaps the skill will provide more seats as it levels along with more damage.

curling iron, hair curl things, and shampoo are other barber/hair stylist things that could potentially be used.


and the Teacher!  I don't think i've ever even had a red haired teacher, But that is how I imagine this teacher.  I guess a version of The babysitter from the one episode of Dexter's Lab.  I imagined a longer skirt that was an ugly 70's yellow and she had glasses.  I definitely imagined the teacher to be a female.

Weapon: Probably will be a paintball gun (confiscated it)
Aura: Increased Max Energy/Mana perhaps or maybe increased EXP gain

Apple: (decoy) (AoE dmg)  The teacher will throw a nice shiny apple out that will attract enemies but it will explode.  She got that apple from a student.

Ruler: (Line AoE)  I guess the ruler could get bigger with additional levels...

Chalk Board Eraser clapper: place a child that claps chalk board erasers and that will be a smoke screen that slows enemies and breaks their aggro

GRADE: A-F a large letter will be placed on the field and will have varying effects from Heal to Damage.  I think the grades will float over the teacher's head in a thought bubble and when the player activates, it will leave a large imprint on the ground that will have the following effects:
-A:  Heals allies a great deal
-B: Heals allies some
-C: Nothing.  Maybe a wall.
-D: Damages enemies some
-F: Damages enemies a great deal

Homework:  (AoE Damage over Time)  Enemies that walk through the AoE will be slowed and damaged as they have a new assignment to work on.  They're critical thinking worksheets- you can't just breeze through them.

Scream at class:  (Cone & local AoE, stun, disorient/confuse):  The Teacher's frustration has peaked and it's time to vent.  I haven't decided on the exact AoE, but I want some enemies to be stunned, and some to be confused.  I think the enemies closest to the teacher will get stunned... and maybe enemies around the teacher will break aggro for a bit.

End of Class Bell:  (escape) I only know it'll be an escape.  I don't know how it will be done yet.  Maybe a school bus will come and take her away... maybe she'll disappear... dunno yet.

Free Time!:  (AoE heal?)  The teacher announces free time and all of the players in an AoE heal?  maybe all players in the teacher's aura range heal gradually.

I think these classes will need more damage dealing skills... The ideas are out now, so that's the important thing. 

And for FAITAR, it came to mind that the Berzerker style could have more powerful timed attacks and disabled timed blocks.
