such a skinny man.  I have another set of him in different clothes and with bigger arms, but i don't think that's as endearing of a character.





Today's thoughts were mostly about dexterity and how to calculate it.  For now, i've decided dexterity would have a more direct correlation with agility.  The plan is to merely divide the enemy agility by the player's dexterity.  the result is a hit chance %  it seemed pretty sound when it was plugged into a spreadsheet.

I also worked on the idea of Dexterity adding more damage to attacks.

I think at this time, adding about 2.5% of dex to attacks gives a small and reasonable amount of extra damage per attack.

Also, dexterity will provide a defense to the extra damage given via dex.  An enemy at the same level with a standard dex growth rate will still be able to fend off a good chunk of the increased damage caused by a player's increased dexterity.

I think the Intelligence stat will be calculated in a manner similar to Dexterity, but I think it will be a larger percentage of damage and defense added.

I think I stated before that status effects will be calculated with some kind of combination of dex and intelligence.  I haven't worked on that formula stuff yet.  Maybe tomrrow.

Also, I had the idea that the overall levels would go supa dupa high like Disgaea.  I then realized I don't have enough skills/techniques for that to work.  So maybe the Max level will be 99.  I gotta calculate how many skills will be learned and then i will decide from there.
